Unbiased opinion - my aunt’s falafel is the best falafel out there! I begged her to let me share this recipe with all of you so please test it out and let me know what you think!
Ingredients:
1 ½ cup of chickpeas
Half a large onion (½ cup chopped)
½ cup of cilantro (chopped)
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of salt
2 tablespoons of falafel spices (½ tablespoon each - coriander, cumin, turmeric, caraway powder)
1 cup of avocado oil (for frying)
Instructions:
Soak dry chickpeas overnight
Drain the chickpeas and rinse. Then, blend them in a food processor with the onion and cilantro until a paste is formed.
Mix in all of the spices. Let the mixture rest for about half an hour.
Add oil to a pan and turn it on medium heat. Fry 1 tablespoon of falafel batter until they crispy.
Enjoy with tahini sauce!
