Celery Juice, Explained

Juicing has been around for a long time due to its healing effects; however, not all juices are created equal and not all juices have the same health benefits. Pure celery juice has been proven to be highly beneficial for people who suffer from chronic and auto-immune illnesses due to its powerful anti-inflammatory benefits. According to Medical Medium, celery juice is a combination of sodium cluster salts that taken on an empty stomach will aid and strengthen digestion.

Poor digestion and leaky gut have become very prevalent in recent years due to poor and processed diets and other external factors, such as stress. Our gut is directly connected to our brain, therefore, when we are stressed our digestion is affected, leading to indigestion, bloating and gas. On top of that, external toxins such as viruses and bacteria only make matters worse. Over time, our stomach is affected by a reduction in hydrochloric acid, which is needed to break down our food, and with these insufficient amounts we start feeling bloated, constipated, and having acid reflux.

Celery juice helps us to rebuild our hydrochloric acid so that our food can be better digested. In addition, it increases and strengthens our bile, which is needed for breaking down fats and killing off unwanted substances such as viruses and pathogens. As stated before, It is best to drink celery juice on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning. I encourage you to start by drinking 8 ounces and increase to 16 ounces per day. You may experience a change in your bowels, which is a detox reaction, if it is uncomfortable, just scale back and increase slowly for tolerance.
